Description
This actually is a leaf of The Ligularia dentata Desdemo,
from which we have a lot of in our garden.
In the summer they have beautiful orange-yellow flowers,
on which you often can find several insects.
When I saw the form of this leaf (due to the hot sun at that moment),
I had to think of a big bird, a heron or so.
Also I thought about a flying Batman-cape.
In choosing this upload I was reminded of a Dutch children's song,
which a verse trying to translated here:
A bird came flying
that alights on my feet
a bird came flying
has a letter in its beak,
with a very kind greet.

'Batman rides again!' - except this time in complete camouflage - maybe it's his other outfit, which he only wears on Sunday ;) the other is in the wash! Nice macro - don't know this plant? but the name Desdemo reminds me of: Desdemona she is a character in William Shakespeare's play Othello (c.1601 – 1604). Shakespeare's Desdemona is a Venetian beauty. Hope you are feeling OK! BB
