The beautiful path was made by the National Trust, of Purbeck limestone laid on edge. The greens are exactly as the camera took them, no postwork.

When I see these old ruins I always wonder about the people who have gone before :o)
this is lovely. wonder what the tents is for?
A rare collage by Andrea, with a cool medieval ambience. But how come no postwork? And did they serve coffee, chips, consumme and crumpets at the Corfe Castle?
This looks like my kind of place! What might the tents be all about?

How lush and green the grounds are! Excellent captures of these ruins, how did we miss this when I was there? Guess I'll have to come back...

Wow what a very exciting photo and information. Looks like a wonderful place to visit and feel part of the past. Awesome lush green grass and mossy covered ruins.
The good thing about all the rain is that everything is lush and green. Love these castle ruins.
Oh dear. You'd never get me out of a place like that! I'd be photographing every four-square-inch patch in the place, and wondering about the people who built it and who lived in it and the last ones and the process of turning into a ruin ... Lovely! :)
Beautiful place - I always like such ruins. There's always magic of forgotten times in the air.
Two wonderful POVs of Corfe Castle. A beautiful path and both view of the ruins are lovely!
