Description
Campanula rotundifolia
Growing in the walls of Corfe Castle.
These hardy little plants grow in dry grassy places often on poor shallow soils, as here.
The round leaves from which the plant gets is name are usually withered by the time the flowers open, leaving the very narrow leaves on the wiry stems that you see here.
This is one of my most favourite wild flowers!

Beautiful flower and surroundings!
One of my favourites too Andrea. Nice shot.
Wonderful haven't seen wild ones for ages.
This is amazing to see Andrea. God Bless.
Amazing capture and a very cool setting for these beauties.
A most fantastic POV ad photo-shot, Andrea. Which really has to be seen on zoom. GREAT!!!
Lovely photo, made all the more interesting by the POV. Super work.
Wonderful capture of this hardy little survivor. It is great to see them not only growing but florishing in such an unlikely place.
so beautiful, and such a wonderful setting
Excellent shot Andrea, they are lovely, I'd like these in my garden :}
I so much enjoyed your posts of Corfe Castle... I spent some time yesterday exploring the link you sent and following-up with more links and web searches on my own... if I ever make it back to England again I have decided your area is a must see! You are quite the travel ambassador!
They're lovely, I've only seen them carefully cultivated in gardens!
wonderful landscape, beautiful flowers, great pov
A lovely composition and very pleasing image Andrea.
Beautiful scene and flowers , Andrea !
Stunning Andrea! I like the rugged setting and composition. Regards, Clive
They are beautiful & so healthy looking especially where they are growing :o)
Can see why it would be a fav of yours, so nice!
very lovely and a lovely pov
Super textures, and quite a contrast, colorwise, compared to the castle and background.
Excellent image Hugs Susan~
They are very nice but can be hard to photograph in a wind, and it is very windy in the only place that I seem to find these, in the mountains near Abraham Lake in Alberta. I know they are common but I just don't seem to see them anywhere else. Anyway, very nice shot!
A favorite of mine, as well. What a lovely shot! Beautifully composed.
Ww have something similar in the rugged area's along the roadside. My Father used to call them bluebells. They look so petite and pretty and yet are very hardy. Lovely shot of these cute little Bells Andrea.
Fabulous flower on the boulders.
Beautiful color, rocky foreground and green expanse for a background!
