ROBOCOP OFFICE :) -- STARS NEWS -- Liza Minnelli was honored Thursday night at the Festival International Montreal Jazz (Jazz Fest), whose 33th edition ends this Saturday. She was awarded the Ella Fitzgerald prize for his "outstanding contribution to contemporary vocal jazz." Daughter of filmmaker Vincente Minnelli and actor/singer Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli started out in show business when she was just a toddler. In the 1960s and 1970s, at the height or her career, the versatile artist made her mark in theatre and screen acting, played sold-out concerts around the world, and released a string of solid musical recordings. She took home an Oscar for her performance in Bob Fosse's feature film Cabaret (1972) and shone in Martin Scorsese's New York, New York (1977), for which she sang the title song-later to be adapted by Frank Sinatra. The following decade was mostly devoted to recital work. After shaking off health problems in the early 2000s, Minnelli resumed her activities. She released Confessions in 2010. Alain Simard, président et fondateur du FIJM, a remis cet honneur à l’artiste américaine, qui en est la 14e lauréate. Le prix décore une chanteuse ou un chanteur de jazz au talent remarquable, qui a eu un impact et une influence majeurs sur la scène internationale. Liza Minnelli, 66 ans, est la fille de l’actrice et chanteuse Judy Garland et du deuxième époux de celle-ci, Vincente Minnelli. Elle mène depuis une cinquantaine d’années une carrière à succès comme chanteuse, actrice de cinéma et bête de scène, elle qui a notamment brillé à Broadway. Elle a remporté l’Oscar de la meilleure actrice en 1973 pour son rôle dans le film Cabaret, de Bob Fosse, puis joué notamment dans New York New York, de Martin Scorsese. Elle a aussi remporté quatre Tony Awards pour ses rôles sur scène, un Grammy spécial «Legends», deux Golden Globes et un Emmy. Bref, elle a triomphé dans toutes les sphères artistiques dans lesquelles des prix sont attribués. FIJM 2012 Son plus récent album, Confessions, a été lancé en 2010. I thought maybe you had scooby37's robocop... it is a cool modle, I have it, haven't used it yet - and it does come with a feature where you can take the mask off and see murphy's head. love the coloring on the bikes, can't wait to see them ride it.
