Description
Not exactly what she photographed on the lake shores in Finland.
Captured 6/30/12, very early AM, within short trudging distance of my humble haven.
I like the cool stark contrast in this.
ZOOM worthy.
I'm willing to assume this is a ficus/fig tree.
Au revoir, thankx for coming aboard, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.
And have a safe and sane July 4th!

I love trees that put out these great above-ground roots. Cool shots, Harry.
Super captures of these impressive tree roots. I love seeing trees with roots growing on the surface like this, it is amazing how far they go.
These roots look old. Ficus or Fig I'm sure this tree is enormous. Cool capture. Happy 4th of July Dad.
Excellent pics.
What a great find! Love these knobby roots with the grass cushioning the between spaces...excellent captures, Harry!
They remind me of fingers reaching out to find nutrients and moisture. Cool shots!
Now here is a fine looking tree (and root system) Lovely to see, so rare in parks here, considered a Health and Safety hazard! So the tree is chopped down! Amazing huh? Fine dedi, great looking tree (sorry no idea of the species) Rob
Perfect for a horror movie Harry and I agree about it being a fichus tree. In our condo complex - I have seen fichus roots coming up through the bottom of a concrete swimming pool and also having made their way into a sewer pipe and growing up into a toilet!
