Description
Top foto captured 4/19/09, bottom three 6/30/12, early in the morning, within walking distance of the scene portrayed.
Positively ZOOM worthy.
It was on 5/16/12 when I posted the first collage of this divider and environs -- shot while standing on terra firma -- and thought that would cover the whole thing. But, lo, between then and now I discovered there was yet another POV option in photographing it: from high up. The fotos were taken from a bridge, which you can see as a shadow in the bottom pics, that spans above the street, which enables individuals to cross over from one side to another. Why not just cross at street level? Because it makes it easier to go back and forth to their vehicles which sit on the top level of a multi-tiered parking structure. I hope that explains everything without undue confusion.
Incidentally, Andrea, if you look close enough, there are at least three manhole covers on the street.
Arrivederci, thanks for the look-see, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

Because we drive on the other side this makes me feel uneasy..I suppose it's inbred!
Sensational collage Harry, really like the high up pov you went with this time around
wonderful pov
It looks a little like an obstacle course. We have some of these dividers in front of a post office here, and most of them have been knocked down. Nice collage once again, Harry.
This is a great POV to view this intrigueing scene. I still can't figure out why they have used all the posts unless there were a lot of accidents here, or maybe they think it will stop accidents.
Excellent overview of this divided scene, Harry; I guess it's a relatively inexpensive visual deterrent, but can't really stop an accident that wants to happen. My guess is that at certain times of the year they might shift the traffic pattern, like they do every day on the Golden Gate Bridge, changing the number of lanes going in a particular direction. At any rate, great captures from the higher POV!
Great collage and POV!
I like the shadows the posts cast off . Nice POV
Harry mate.. You got loads of cars and aircraft, gardens, plants.. why this? Sorry but ? Rob
I like the different POVs in this collage Harry. Some nice shadows along the divider. Did you notice that there was a Bail Bondsman's office opposite the Southeast Law Center???
