Say, as good as you've always been with these scenes, some more fanciful then others and so on and so forth, I think you should try and put you mind to creating YOU OWN version of "The Vally of the Shadow of Death". Yeah!, that would be awesome, I mean if you could handle it, right? hehehe But though you do all these nice, pretty, flowery, lush green life everywhere, you also have a very great skill that you may not even be aware of, which is, you know how to lay out a photogenic scene. I'll email you this since I think you rarely if ever actually come back to read or reply to all your fans, bad, bad, bad you hahahehehehe Keep it up though...............md :)

Very nice pose, and excellent use of DOF. The ripple is a nice touch. The hair is fighting the natural look of the scene a bit, but that's almost always true (even of dynamic hair). I find hair usually benefits from at least a little postwork, because polygon hair is so stiff and strand hair is so uniform and programmatic. The clothing works very well, though, and that's another dynamic element that often appears too stiff or too simple. I like how the light is very bright and ambient, but the scene still has its share of shadows. Very peaceful work.

Great all up. I have to admit that I often don't like people in your scenes. Yet in this case, the relaxed and sensuous nature of it is a perfect addition. As has already been noted, the lighting is cetrainly believable and seems to be well placed to make the most of the details, like the excellent grass in the forehand. My only negative criticism is that if you look at the ripples in the water, going by where they have extended on the right side, they should actually be reacting to the rock and sending secondary ripples out. I am led to wonder whether all the trees in the background are individual object, or whether they are a previously rendered scene used as a backdrop? I am not entirely sure, but are they anenomes (wind flowers) behind the woman?

I checked out the original, yours is a good rendition. Very nice!

Beautiful, idyllic picture. I do have a technical question though: How do you do the ripples around her toe? I have never been able to do that. Its been so frustrating not being able to have the water interact with an object in it that I have given up on using water in my scenes. As always you remain one of my most favorite artists, even if I forget to mention it
