Description
I am so busy lately that I have to dig in my archives for images. :|
This image was taken a few years back and shows armbands (bangles) and necklaces made by African ladies with such precision and craft that I can only but stare in awe while watching them. These beads are so small but the patterns they create with these tiny little beads are amazing.
Thank you for visiting and for your much valued comments and favs on my last upload.

AWWW! thsy are so lovely all of them. In Greenland they are also expert in making such things. Actually I had an aunt who made such things too. I have a few from her :)

Very pretty.
Wow...what artwork! I can't imagine working with beads so small! Makes me think of the Native Americans and the tiny beads they use in their art. I don't have the eyesight or dexterity to do anything close to this!!

Great shot of every color in the visible spectrum, and beyond, Carin! And intense is right!

how wonderfully colourful. Makes me want to take them al home for a wall hanging :)
it's an art that various African artists have done exquisitely. (To be found in some other places in the world too, but the African varieties have stunning hues.) The beautiful yellow-ish greens are signature to several African cultures, as you may know from first hand experience (I know it from study); as are the orange-ish reds...it's this way of combining 2 hues into a unique and eye-bending combination, along with the general sense that the hues are bathed in sunlight, even 'mixed' with sunlight, as if they made their hues by stirring sunlight right into their pigments and dyes. It's extraordinary...For a shot which has so much going on, you still got an overall cohesion, by getting the verticals on top, that 'band' in the middle, and the tapestry at the bottom. Whether you chose this consciously or just by instinct, the instinct was spot on. And I assume that getting all these hues in equal clarity isn't easy, but they shine forth here; and I'm glad you dug this out because it's a street festival for the eyes, and a capture of wonderful art in its own right...
Fabulous find and shot. :) Thanks for sharing! :)
Excellent colors in this fantastic capture and the intricate patterns are amazing! A must zoom!
