Description
Scipio the African has come! Metereologists have started giving curious names to weather phenomena in Italy, probably following other countries' fashion. The fact is that the first official summer heat wave - a perfectly ordinary fact - has beenn nicknamed after the Ancient Roman general, Scipion the African, so called because he defeated Hannibal's Carthagenians in Northern Africa. And, since the anti-cyclonic heat wave comes from Africa, some genius decided to call it from old Scipio. With the difference that it's the African heat tha't hammering on our horns ...
Anyway, these are roses from my friend Patrick's garden, and I enhanced their peachy hue with a bit of postwork.
Thanks for your kind comments.

Cool picture.
... and Carthage will be destroyed, Scipio told to "destroy" Hannibal, and the city was destroyed, its floor covered with salt, for the sole purpose that nothing repels! Beautiful development of pretty pink ...
