Description
this was taken with my Nikon d800 and was on large jpeg which will be 7360 x 4912 and around 16mb. a raw would be around 32mb and a tiff around 107mb. I sent it to Richardphotos by email to look at to see the differ in quality. he say he can see more details in the background. now I like him to look at it re size for RR site to see how it will look?
so this is just a test that all. he like this photo I sent him and i thought of this would be a good time to look at some testing. If you wish to look at the big jpeg i would email it to you. all i did here to post was do a little contrasting. not much. guess i should have did nothing to the image but re size it lol. I no scientist.
I be getting back to the dog show next time i post. I got more on Mexico lol
oh i did make it a little bit bigger that what I normal post also.

Very good picture with that new camera
It looks good, Jocko. Pretty scene!
I think I see a couple mosquitos. Very nice shot.
I find that rule to have 512kbs and not more than 4000XX not so genious for this site If they think they blows the quality of today.... Hummm.. But better to have a smile.... Sure you loose quality in photo more than 20% Great photo ((5++))
Excellent capture! :)
nice shot my friend
AMAZING WORK
Beautiful composition. excellent work
Great clarity and stark contrast in this shot of the wetlands, Jock. I have nothing to say about the sizing and/or resizing thing. And I can hardly wait for your fotos on the dog show.
yes too bad we don't have enough people, or an 'in' person, to over power the 512kb limit, that really sucks!:( i've had some really great large renders i couldn't put on because of that!:( anyhoo, excellent photo capture!:)*5

this has to be presented big bro.an awesome land.
Marvelous image Jocko, superb photo, beautiful one!
nice foto, if you put in on hdri mode you can get some definition in the clouds, if your camera has that option.
I guess the basic idea is to make that one shot count on the field without any need to come back home and work on it. For me it is anyway :) There is a lot to learn on that new D800... Here is a "digtutorial for some Nikon Cameras " . Here is a "tutorial for the D800" . Aloha
Cool serene and landscape....
Great Scene,
well it's the same thing with a small inexpensive camera as sometimes I will forget to set the size then have to crop etc and sometimes it loses its natural thing but hey this looks great to me >>richard is the expert
Fantastic capture and motif, Jock. A very beautiful environment. That is a pretty high RES.. my old Nikon Coolpix goes 4000x3000 at max :)+5
Super photo Jock. Love the POV :)
Great landscape, wonderful place. Really wonderful shot!
