Hi to all,
It has been a while since I last posted an image. The site has changed something and load time takes way way too long for me now. But the biggest reason for my absence has to do with the weather. For the past 2+ years my little part of the world has endured extreme heat and drought. We have broken the hottest day, earliest 100F day, most consecutive 100F days, most days over 100F and least amount of rain records.
I just can't deal with it outside so all the work I usually do in the summer now has to be done in fewer months. To add insult to injury - many Red Oaks, Maples, Hollies, Dogwoods and other trees have died so there is all the clean-up from that. No time nor inclination to be critter hunting.
I decided to check in today and see whats happening. I also have a new member of the house hold I thought I would show. His name is 'Hoover'.
So named because he is really good at collecting dust bunnies and spiderwebs from under and behind furniture, lol.
I miss the nice folks here but such is life. I will try to find the time to get back asap.

What a lovely surprise to see your baby here! I do hope you find the time for us, I love your insects. That heat is insufferable..if it gets to 75 I am done for.
