Description
here is my second ever painting from nature. I did not even took a photo of my first one as it was super bad. as you see I need a lot more painting to get better at it. any way guess palm trees would be hard to paint even for the pros? got to start some wheres.
I post a photo of the back yard next time. look like every one would like to see more of this dream house i was at. I would love to live there all year. I will try to find a photo from this angle pov as I painted it. i got a lot of photos to look at to upload
I need to bring more colors of paint down there next time too. I just bought a box of basic 12 colors and most the colors i do not even use. So I going to change some of the colors and bring a few other colors. yes i know I need to use two colors and get a lot of range of colors out of that like red and green. but i need to use blues for sky and oceans here as the ocean have greens so lovely i wish i could mix that color lol

Splendid painting , jock !
I really like this painting. It has alot of atmosphere and I really like the composition. Try it also in watercolor maybe :) Keep up the good work, Jock. Try with a bit of orange in the green, just for a thirth warmer green.
nice paint!
Room for improvement? Yes but still a nice pic Jock.
All you need is red, blue, yellow, black and white = metalic colors if you want, but I've seen artists make the primary colors look metalic.... work from pictures all the time, before too long, you will see the image on your canvas from memory = I talk like I paint - lol... I haven't painted anything since that mural I did three years ago - damn, that's the longest I've ever gone - lol
Beautiful work on this painting! :)
Wonderful painting work my friend.
A good exercise is to just mix as many shades of one colour, for example green. Just make a sheet of perhaps 5x5 inch squares, which wil give you 25 different greens.
Very beautiful painting! Excellent work!
Another lovely painting!!
Very nice Jocko, and practice, and mix colors, as you said. You will get there. :)
I think this turned out wonderful Jock, and I'm so glad you shared it with us.
