Description
Her elder sister's convent is still not very appealing to Bethany. But as promised, with the school year ended, Bethany is in spiritual retreat for another summer. Brian comes by in the early evenings to keep her spot neat and tidy. Sometimes he reads some of Nin's published dairies to her. Not too much though, he worries the confessions might burst her out of her 'Treasure Chest' as he thinks of it. Though it has wobbled once or twice during past readings, there really is no need for his concern. And today the statue makes no motion until, leaving, Brian catches, faint and muffled, Bethany's unmistakable giggle from within. Rules? She's so cheeky Brian thought he might kiss her. But he promised her he wouldn't. Not until September anyways. By the way, if you value your life, never suggest to Bethany that she is 'medused'. Her retreat is hardly the same thing. The butterflies should be a big clue. Besides, she's not at all like those lemmings on the cheer squad.
Dear me, Bethany's back story is getting increasingly not so usual all the time. This one just popped into my head this week. I'm not sure why but there you are. Sorry, no nudity. I hope everyone is having a terrific weekend and my thanks for all your kind comments on my previous posting, 'Planet Azure'. The automated missions to that distant world will turn out to be a key moment in Mankind's future history. But not for the obvious reasons. Cheers!
