Whenever I see sorrel I think of the line ... I could in the sorrel sit, where the ladybird alit ... from a poem by Robert Louis Stevenson entitled The Little Land.

Oh dear friend Tara! Once again you have brought me home! I love this, I spent countless hours in the woods sitting in places just like this...communing with the earth and the creatures there. You couldn't have chosen a more perfect image and I thank you so very much. I really don't deserve all this attention today as I have missed so many birthdays and wonderful works from my friends.I wouldn't have known about any images today but my daughter saw them and told me:-) I have to say that I am so sorry I have not been online much I've been fighting with my isp since December, I hope this time that they have fixed my problem and am awaiting a refund check from the months I paid for but had next to no service. They lied over and over to me and charged me late charges when they said they wouldn't while I was waiting but they did Last year when I lost my other pc I lost all the birthdays and addresses, phone numbers etc. that I had for all of my friends so please send me your info again and please forgive my absence. I absolutely adore you and my other friends and am just so sorry for all of this. Thank you a million for remembering me! and belated Happy Birthday to you too! This image deserves a 100 rating!!!

Beautiful close up--reminds me of the sweet little flowers that bloom below redwood trees.
Beautiful piece! I love the subdued light, almost like moonlight peeking through the branches of a forest, or perhaps the sun diffused through a thick overcast. The little white (or bluish-white) flower is like a garnish upon this visual treat. Wonderful shot!
