Description
For the first time in a long while, Ted Knowles was enjoying his job. Anders II was a pleasant relief from his recent five year tour on Poison III. That place had one of the most toxic atmospheres that Ted ever experienced. You had to wear a helmet and fully sealed suit whenever going outside.
And then you prayed that the seals would not be eaten away. The work wasn't particularly satisfying either. Mostly hardy extremophiles microbes. There were no fauna on land--just a few low-rung plants.
Anders II, though, was a paradise. Drones had thoroughly sampled the atmosphere before any landing was attempted. The air was wonderfully benign and breathable. A third of the surface was a string of medium-sized continents scattered around the temperate regions of the planet. Flora and fauna were in abundance--an exenologist's dream!
Here we find Ted trying to coax a timid Jumperia to come a bit closer. The little alien isn't sure how to regard this strange creature. Humans just aren't in its realm of experience or instinct. Since there are many predators that like to eat it, the Jumperia is erring on the side of caution--for the moment.

I'm not sure that Ted is being all that professional in his behavior. But I like the way this doodle went.
Figures are, of course, Predation's "MU14" version of his Lorenzo Lorez figure, which can be purchased at DAZ. The vehicle is Kenny Michell's "Trek Truck" freebie at www.kennyscrap.com. The critter is DinoRaul's "Jumperia" from DAZ. Background and foreground terrains are by Karen Verba (Cornucopia3d). Background eco-system is from Alien plants folder in Vue and the foreground eco-system is made from wabe's "Moss" pack from Cornucopia3d.
I truly appreciate your stopping by my gallery for a look. Thanks for all the past comments and encouragements.
