Description
I was in Truckee over the weekend, taking care of my son's dog. Some of you know about Barger; we almost lost him last month. He's on the mend, and I loved being able to hang out and be there with him. Course I also loved being in Truckee since my son's house is right across the road from Donner Lake. I went out at sunset and got this shot.

Great news about Barger! A very beautiful sight, and is that snow?! Great Scott!
Very beautiful!!
What a beautiful place. Are they roads half way up the hill?
Love the mood it creates. Aloha
Wonderful shot.
Nice lighting & composition - this is a beautiful time of day but not that easy to capture in a photo. My son had his wedding ceremony at Donner Lake, so this brings back some nice memories...
beautiful
What a beautiful view! Such a pity to be stuck up in the mountains, living on a lake. LOL! We're right on the beach at La Push this week. Ahhhhhhhhh ... :)
A placid place at a placid moment, very nice!
Oh, beautiful capture! And glad to hear about Barger...
Wonderful light Maz. beautiful photography.
another of your beautiful water shots. The light is peach & gold & yellow, it's clearly late day, and it's intense and recessive all at once. Beautiful intensity above the mountains and on the water. And surrounded by a deep bluish intensity. And is that 'snow' on those mountains? Even in early may? I know in those climes, things can stay cold for a while, but I had to ask since we haven't seen snow around here since February. You're such a natural with water, you practically can get these shots in your sleep. Magical work...And as I've said before, I'm very happy Barger came through such a terrible crisis. I hope he's ok for a long time to come.
This is a wonderful photo over the lake water and mountains Marilyn!
