Gothic? Looks like my apartment during the last black-out! That was very "romantic" (except going to the potty - a bit difficult due to placement of candle). But, yes, I see the skull and the bowl for poisoned drinks. So, THAT makes this gothic. Good work with the candle light. A bit much light on the floor for it coming from the candles. Otherwise, very good work! Keep it up! :-)

I haven't done a candle image, but I think you need a light coming off of every candle so you get multiple shadows... the solid edge of the shadow on the floor looks funny and the one shadow coming off your girl doesn't look right... I'm only saying something because you said: "experimenting with lights" .... It looks really good, but the shadows give it away as unbelievable.

I like it, the lighting and atmosphere are excellent !

I like the look of the candles and the sky through the window. But, frankly, I do think, at least on my screen, it is a tad or two too dark.

Nice mysterious lighting.

Seems realistic enough lighting, but creates a problem for me. I'd need to lighten it up considerably before I'd be able to make out the details. My old eyes just aren't what they used to be. Sigh.

great atmosphere, scene and lighting

ok unfortunately the angle I have is what I liked and went with. There are several windows in the room with moonlight coming through, that would have explained the lighing on the floor. But I liked it better without the second window, which made the scene look to preset. thanks for the comments always appreciated.
