Very cool capture of days gone by Mike!
Our mom and pops hardware still has a working rotary dial phone pay phone....More of a conversation piece but it works and I have used it....(smiles)...
I am that person that still uses them.. I DO NOT own a mobile.. Hate them.. Rob
What a trip, Mike! These days, I don't know where Superman can change into his costume anymore!
Oh, my God! What is it? Can you eat it? Yes, in this age of cell phone and smart phone, cell phone, such real-Pleistocene ... Nice shot, Mike!
What a blast from the past!
Hummm.... We don't see the telephone l;ol..... Because to many graffittis.. Grrrrrrr((5++))
FSH stands for F-ck Sh-t Happens when you pay a $1.50 for a call and you only get 2 minutes and that's all the money you have - lol
GREAT CAPTURE
Oh, how cool, Mike! But what kind of alien device is this, anyway?? Even more amazing.... It's clean with no graffiti, half eaten sandwiches, half empty wine bottles, or funny latex things laying on the little shelf.. I remember years ago when I was doing field service work.... These things were everywhere..... Can't even begin to remember how many quarters I lost in these things.... This must be one of the 10 or so still in existance.
LOL... I remember!!!
Very nice capture !
What a rare find with the new technology of cell phones these have been outdated and removed in many areas. Aw I remember .25cents for local calls and running out of time on long distance, only to hear the live operater asking for more money. That was part of the good ole days!!
looks like an early atm to me :)
Rare to see them these days.
Funny I used to use a pay phone in High School these days are so different...nice pic Mike.
Thats a rare sight Mike, and it looks as if it hadn't been vandalized, thats even rarer. Great find and capture!
I seem to remember... in that dim fog of recollection ... of using these... seems to me they always wanted money.... and more money... reception wasn't that good... couldn't text or email... no chance for surfing the net.... couldn't take a picture either..... hmmmm. (cool shot anywho! gave me a laff!)
Man! I havn't seen, or used one of those in years...damn cellphones, now if you don't have a cell, your screwed...the change of times I guess...
Great shot...these will soon be antiques!!!
What a flash-back. Relied totally on those things when the pager ("bellboy") went off. Knew my route and where all of them were. Plus, needed a dime.
4 minutes for a $1 - and I remember when it was a dime and you got an operator.
Whoo, must be in an out of the way place....or museum.. the hand set is still there and it hasn't been vandalised!!
I think you can call Cape Cod on this phone
