Description
We have started packing up Florida and we will be leaving shortly for New Hampshire. So I will be missing from RR for about a week. This is a photo of dead leaves caught in the roots in a mangrove swamp. Mangrove trees propagate by sending roots down from the branches above and once the roots have become established, a new tree grows. I will start catching up as soon as I get connected in New Hampshire. Zoom helps.

Great image. Light and shadows are superb. We use mangroves to prevent erosion and to recover land from the sea. They are also a great ecosystem, full of wildlife.

I really love this shot, we have mangrove trees here in Bundaberg, that is where we get the big mud crabs, but they are getting scarse now.the colour is beautiful.
