Description
This is Entwhistle viaduct which carries the railway from Preston to Bolton and Manchester.
I took this over the weekend on a seven mile walk across the the local moors which takes in two reservoirs and very peaceful open moorland.
This has been standing there about 150 years and no doubt will still be there in another 100 years time. I am always amazed by the Victorians and their achievements.
The viaduct is between two reservoirs that supply Bolton with water.
Large view is best.

Amazing capture!
Belle capture :)
Yes, they managed to embody style with whatever they made, willing to go the extra mile to make it not only functional but also beautiful. This is a gorgeous photo. Thank you for sharing!
Beautiful photo composition!
What a perfect reflection! Marvelous capture and it looks like a wonderful place to walk.
It's a beautiful structure. Your composition brackets it nicely between the sky and water.
Wonderful capture. I like the reflections in the calm water very much. Well done.
Great reflective shot. Seems to be some sort of optical illusion or effect that makes the arches look like they lean slightly to the right (or maybe it's just me)...
Superb capture my friend. God Bless.
Beautiful place and the perfect capture !
The Victorians took a lesson from the Roman Empire: If it is worth building, it is worth building it to last forever. Great capture! The water is absolutely glassy.
superbe !
great foto.
I really am a fan of your bridge, (and viaduct), shots. You always manage something stunning.
