Description
Tree Pipit, Anthus trivialis, is a small passerine bird which breeds across most of Europe and temperate western and central Asia. It is a long-distance migrant moving in winter to Africa and southern Asia.
This is a small pipit, which resembles Meadow Pipit. This is an undistinguished looking species, streaked brown above and with black markings on a white belly and buff breast below. It can be distinguished from the slightly smaller Meadow Pipit by its heavier bill and greater contrast between its buff breast and white belly. Tree Pipits more readily perch in trees.

What a fantastic capture of this beautiful bird. Superb details!
Cool shot and information
Beautiful bird, well captured on what looks like a dull day.
Still, he is not so dull, he has a lovely muted earthy tone. You do amaze me with how many species you manage to capture.
They are delightful little birds. I was looking at American Pipit last night, and even my husband appreciated it. They don't look too different from this one. I find my pipits along the river.
A superb capture.
What a cutie! I love your composition and pin sharp focus on the bird. Great work.

Excellent shot with a nice ambiance to it!
this, is one of the best bird portraits i have seen in a long while, in my humble opinion. The sharpness, the glorious colour, and the beauty of the bird all come together perfectly.
