Description
Ben
A gentle giant
To everyone
Unless you are a
Pine cone.
Credits: Another in my Special Pets collection, featuring Ben, the big beautiful Mastiff with a gentle and playful spirit. Created in Photoshop CS, using photo source and painting techniques.
Painted this for a friend, Roy, who has a successful restaurant in the Colorado mountains. Soon he'll be adding a special section for doggie dining. Guess I'll be taking my doxies for a night out. :o)
Hope you enjoy. :o)

Beautiful work, Ben does look sad.
midnightmum - Ben has that sad expression but is really a very happy dog. :o)
Better not touch that pine cone
Wow, Ben reminds me of our old grade school bus (with smaller eyes/windshields). Gentle, yes, but one would think twice about arguing with him. This is a wonderful work-tribute to a BIG friend.
This is a wonderful painting of him Carol, you seemed to capture his gentle nature you spoke of perfectly here. This one really started my day off with a smile :)
Aww, he's beautiful! He does look the part of the gentle giant.

Gorgeous work! He looks so sweet, those eyes.. oh my goodness, lol. I just love big dogs, they are usually the sweetest things. And I think a dining section for doggie friends is a fantastic idea, I wish him much success! I also wish I lived closer so I could take my pooches out for supper, lol
You just want to throw your arms around him and take him home with you!! Wonderfully done!! Thank you for sharing!! v
