Description
There I was...putting together a nifty dogfight with a cool color tone and all of a sudden the thought of all those "Enlist in the Air Corps" posters of WW 1 filled my brain (to say nothing of all those dime novel covers!). What's a guy gonna do? Ah, the drama, the patriotism...the desire to go try out this new toy for nearly free!!!!
Hanriot-Dupont HD1 of the "Arma Azzurra" by EOLE, free at sketchup warehouse.
Albatross: free at sharecg.com generously by Neiwil
Pilots: free Red Baron by Max Guenther at sketchup...tweaked and re-nationalized by me.
There's another plane there, but I'm afraid it got shot down before I could identify it...

Nice, love the old planes and the old posters!
"Where do I sign up?....hang on is this a mistake, why is it only a 12 day contract?" Very neat poster/cover, nice dynamic action and NOT one of my models that got 'steelrazer'd' :-) cool FX on that too. Thanks for the mention....
Wonderful idea Bill and a fine recruiting call for "The 20 Minuters". I too love all those RFC and RAF posters of old with the over exaggerated out of scale aircraft, a bit like some of those great car ad's of the 50's. Hanriot-Dupont HD1 is another must have model too. Well done mate :)
Very fine poster. Sorry, I can not sign in. I am the enemy... LOL...
Very fine poster and a great idea! I like it! Love the Hanriot, could not find it though....yet! lol Look forward to more like this! And cheers for the comments mate! Rob
Fantastic presentation!
Love the retro poster look, and the overall dynamic composition...very cool!
Excellent! Terrific composition in every way, makes you want to say, "Curse you Red Baron!"
Nice one!!!! I'll bet the War Department would have loved to use this.
Excellent! Great use of the m odels and results that could be a great poster or book cover.
"By Jove..., I say Chaps! Absolutely topping poster, eh? what?" Tones and colours give it the right note.
