Description
This is our areas standard green iguana. This one was about three feet (.91 meters) in length. I was lying on the ground and s/he was not afraid to walk right in front of me although the click of the camera did spook him into the brush. I like his textures and patterns. Zoom for a better look!

Great capture of this exotic guy!!Here are almost extinct because they hunt for eat them and their eggs. I've never eaten, and I do not ever do it, but many people say they taste like chicken.

My he's a big boy,I've only seen these in zoos we only have very small lizards in the UK. Zoom is a must.

I with we had some of these up in in north florida, all we got are the small lizards. Not counting Gators of cause! ;) Excellent capture! :)

Wonderful capture, Dana!! Just this week here in Merrimack, NH the Animal Control Officer was called to an office complex for the report of a large lizard roaming around. She arrived and found a four foot iguana. Well, she had never come across such a critter before, LOL. So she was able to get it into a dog crate and she asked around the area to see if anyone was missing one and checked with dispatch to see if anyone had reported such a critter missing, but no one had. She brought the crate in our office area at the police department and one of the girls freaked out and left...and I thought it was cool and went to the refrigerator and got some of my salad for lunch and shared it, LOL. The poor thing must have been very hungry because it sucked the lettuce down. I ended up giving it just about all of my salad and the Animal Control Officer called the Animal Rescue in a nearby town and they said yes, they took lizards. I hope he finds his owner! I'm not a big lizard fan, but this guy was really cool and I didn't mind that I had to run out for a sandwich for lunch since I gave all of my lettuce and other greens to the iguana, LOL This is a great shot!

A very majestic looking creature, Dana - this one is looking so very similar to the Water-dragon, that is roaming our 3 acre property, except for the spines on his back ... I think I might post him soon - so you can compare them ;) BB
