Working in the garden the other day, I discovered this little hitchhiker on a pile of forsythia branches.

Nice! I like gastropods. I think it's because their name translated to "stomach foot" and for some reason I just find that funny...that and did you know that their internal organs switch position when they grow? They do some weird thing like turn 90 degrees, for reasons that only Nature knows. And what a shell! I love the stripes and the striations as they echo all of the other great lines in this shot! The colors are amazing! Now, I could go on a Fibonacci Rant, but I won't...that might take a while and there's only so much space allotted or comments! But I will say how much I like this nicely elegant shot of this little marvel.
