The bell tower of the San Xavier del Bac Mission located about 10 miles south of Tucson on the Tohono O'odham Indian Reservation.
The mission was founded in 1692 by the Jesuit missionary Eusebio Francisco Kino.
This mission is the furthest north Spanish missionary influence from Mexico advanced in Arizona.
