Description
It has been a while since I was at Renderosity.
I am alive and kicking, hopefully.... and will be a bit more active in the future.
MY NEW PROJECT:
OCTACOPTER is a helicopter with eight motors.
I am building one with heavy lift capasity.
It lifts a DSLR with ease.
Question is if I dare to put my Nikon in the air.
Also got a new state of the art flight controller.
Hope to get it in the air in a month or so. Lots of work has to be done. Soddering all the wires and finetuning the controller.

Very interesting invention... I'm looking forward to your upload of pictures taken with such a device... :~)
This is quite a lifter! I really look forward to the shots you will get, Clive
Looks really impressive!!!
Ohh...Excellent..Can u plz make one OCTACOPTER for me ...?
Welcome back mate...'Little Nellie's' big brother :-) Looks awsome, though I can see strapping your Nikon to this will be a nervous moment..the results should be spectacular. Will be watching and waiting with interest...good luck..
Very cool looking craft I wish you luck -
That looks awesome. I've seen other people do this and the footage they get is unbelievable. Good luck my friend, Can't wait to see what you do with it. :)
Welcome back!.. I SEE you have been busy.. This is impressive indeed! The heavy lifter version huh? lol Good shot, waiting for in action shots now! Rob
WOW! That is indeed some kind of chopper, Knut. I am looking forward to see exciting videos soon. Nice to see you in RR again :)
Very impressive feat of engineering - will be interested to see the photographic results...
A great5 move! Life is too short to worry. If it crashes you already lose a bit of money, so why not risk a camera? That said, it shouldn't be too hard (or too heavy) to make a protective case shell around most of the camera just using styrofoam.
a very good Q... they sell 'lifejackets' for cameras nowadays... made of rubber, but............... (dunno! ;-)) love this wonderful invention!!! awesome!
Wild! mybe a test flight with an old Kodal istamatic would be better! ;)
good to see you back friend - A very nice picture and a great motive - have a nice weekend
Nice to hear from you again. I'm looking forward for your next shots.
Interesting question, as you dare, with the Nikon? Very cool looking craft !
