Description
...during World War II young soldiers and sailors dreamed of pin-up girls such as Betty Grable, Rita Hayworth, Veronica Lake and Jane Russell to name just a few.
...but they also dreamed of building their very own hotrod after the war was over.
...this was their car of choice...a 1932 Ford Coupe.
...Yesterday, while walking around a nearby marina with camera in-hand, I almost fell over this little gem just parked on the street waiting for me to take its picture.
This car is such an icon that the Beach Boys sang about it. IF you don't mind the Beach Boys for a little nostalgia fix, Click Here.

outstanding shots Bill and rod.I would have blanked out the license tag however.(possible invasion of privacy)
Amazing shots of this beauty Bill, wow. My dad was a 'drooler' of all those chicks. The cars, not so much...not sure where I got the love for these old classics but I am always thrilled to be able to see one. Thank you for this beautiful post.
Well you have a huge Beach Boys fan here and used to drive my friends crazy as they were on my tape player a lot when I have my Oldsmobile. A really fine Little Deuce Coupe Bill and don't forget John Milners yellow one in American Graffiti :)
Richard...don't sweat the plates...this is parked on a public street!
Well found Bill, what an awesome shot, well shots lol Yep, I thought Rosy would be...erm..taken with this one. It's right up her and street (lol) Good one mate.. Rob
This is the cat's whiskers!!
Stunning captures and collage Bill. God Bless.
Great capture-probably rrives better than half the rubbish driven about these day's
Great shot. I would like to know what kind of motor he had under the hood?
the Bee's Knees Bill
Excellent. love these old chopped fords. Great shots bill. Whilst we are remembering these classics, lets not forget the "Eliminator" ZZ top's lead man Billy Gibbons owns one too.
Love those old hot rods. Great collage. :)
Great collage. One of my neighbors has a Model T Ford, he doesn't drive it that often but probably about once a month I see it pass by my house, and it always makes me smile.
What a little beauty! And great shots!
Great shot of this beauty.
Very cool car and great captured.
All four are great shots of this icon Bill.
This was also called the Model B (not to be confused with Ford's B of 1904). A classmate in high school had one(not customized) many, many years ago. They rode smoother than the Model A.
Woot! Nice! I'm glad you posted all four shots. This car looks great from every angle!
A really awesome old car and I still love Beach Boys :-D
musclebound motors straining at the leash
great collage
I remember it well :o) Glad you almost fell over it for us to see :o)
My cousin has spent years building 'The California Kid'. It's black with flames along the side and a cut down roof. But I think from memory it is a 34. Great shots and car Bill.
I really like these, Bill. Not too old to dream of having one... Clive
SUPERB CAPTURE
Well, the closest I ever came to having one of these was a plastic model when I was a kid... A great capture of this classic, Bill!
It was a popular car and I remember seeing all those stars with them. Great captures of this little beauty.
Interesting variety of POVs to capture the elegance of this redesigned old timer, Bill. I posted a collage of this auto, shown in different concepts, sometime back.
Very nice collage Bill and I enjoyed all the comments too! I too wouldn't worry about blurring plates; if it's an invasion of privacy to him then keep it inside. Besides, unless you are a hacker or a cop, you cannot identify anyone by a plate number, at least not here.
