Description
Well that is what the gulls and pigeons think when they see this kite flying off a barge on the River Thames. Very effective in keeping them from 'tagging' or roosting on the vessels.
In the background is Westminster Bridge.
Have a great Friday,
Clive

What a clever idea!
Very good capture of this great idea
It is very cool. I thank you for this one. You are very talented. 5+!
My dad always had an owl statue on his boat to keep the others out. What a gorgeous shot this is!
A great idea! Popular at airports as well.. Works very well.. This is very well caught.. I saw 4 buzzards over Stamford today! Flying together.. A record.. Rob
necessity is the mother of invention
As Andrea says 'its a good idea'. We have them in Chard and we are 12 miles from the sea, they have become land gulls and are a pest. They try to nest on our roofs.
I know this barge well :}
How fun! I've only seen a few of these "birds," mostly near the ferry docks. They look like eagles, which makes sense, since eagles are native to this area. (There's one here if you're interested in seeing it.) I love this one soaring above the river. The bridge detail in the background is marvellous!
Lovely!
Superb capture Clive. God Bless.
Hehe - clever! I believe that the British employed a similar tact to get the pigeons off Trafalgar Square! Great catch Clive!
I like it and if it cuts back on the tagging - then everybody wins!
