Description
this is right at the Ricasso showing the proof marks and apparently the date of proofing including the crown (acceptance by King/Queen?)
the wooden handle has the Crown stamped into it as well
the search led me to discover that this is a 'British Pattern 1907 Mk1 "SMLE" Short Magazine Lee-Enfield Bayonet' Rather cool I think

Very good closeup, Mike! Really shows details!
You have quite a fascinating piece of history there, Mike! Saw you other post of it - an excellent specimen, and in very good condition.
Brilliant pic.
A truly terrible weapon. But very effective in close combat! And I thought Wilkinson was only there for shaving. But after that shaving one needs nothing more ... Cool photo!
