A few weeks ago I posted another picture of this same place, but from the other side of the street. If you look at Van Buren Transfer Point, you'll see the other side of the El platform and a very different view of the street.

Fantastic capture and great POV! After enjoying the repetition of shapes and lines,there is still a lot to see here, like the guy with blue jacket, five air conditiones, the pub, the dome, etc.

I love the little air conditioners, the afterthought to the eventual comfort of the few who are priviledged enough to get them, LOL! It is always that way.

Gosh! It is truly amazing how much there is to see in this remarkable composition, Tara. Almost everything is so strange to me, living as I do in a south coast town with no EL or brownstones. You have made a great job of this.

The buildings & lampposts look like they all purposely lined up so you could take their picture. Or was it just you who found the perfect spot to shoot this? A very fine photo & I suspect not one that many photographers would have seen...

What caught my eye was the overpas, which looks like the bridge of a ship. In particular, that of a railroad ferry. Interesting with the iterative verticals in this photo. Keep up the good work! :-)

With all the different 'layers' here, it reminds me a lot of Coruscant from Star Wars, or the Bladerunner cityscapes. Very cool capture, tara!
All sharp, clear and crisp down to the rivets on the 'L' supporting steel structures. Your title zeros me in on what you want me to see. So much to see and none of it distracts. First rate!
