Description
Australian Fur Seals play in a part of the ocean that is also a regular haunt of Great Whites Sharks. These seals were hardcore though and didn't seem to care.
Victoria Australia.
P.S. If I could surf as well as these guys, I wouldn't need a surfboard.........or a wetsuit............OR A CAR!
Best viewed zooooooomed to see more of their mates snoozing on the rocks! The size of the swell in the photo is deceiving. If you go to where the seals are in the water, then that is the level of the sea. All the water behind them is swell. In the boat we were in, it felt a lot bigger than it appeared!

I alays envied this critters when I was a kid, the freedom to move in the ocean seemed almost as intoxicating as flying in the air. However, that was before I found out they were the main food group for great white sharks....
It's funny that my first reaction is that I hope none of the seals ever get eaten too. But then if you asked me if I wanted the sharks to starve to death.....NO of course not! There is no answer to it eh, unless we can convince the sharks to become vegans!
