DRAGON DREAMS
Meet XUI MEI (a.k.a. “beautiful plum”) captured here remembering the rooms, the screens, the lanterns, fans, the temples, symbols and flowers she had seen in doarte’s celebration of the YEAR OF THE DRAGON and our MADHOUSE MUSEUM’s delightful display of Chinese artistry from Ming to Manchu dynasties.
This lovely lady offered doarte some advise. “Why don’t you make those settings, scenes and motifs available to today’s audiences so creative imaginations can translate past beauty into modern meanings. And that’s exactly what we intend to do.
So stay tuned folks. As they say in theater: “CURTAIN GOING UP!” Soon …VERY VERY SOON.

My Dear Doctor... fellicitous greetings... on first gaze on this portrait, I was awestruck to see a resmblence between your gracious model XUI MEI and that of the Princess of the Hidden Kingdom (by custom of her family may not take a name until she is wed). Outstanding portriature, my friend... outstanding. A vision of grace, and intelligence...so very filled with the tincture of luck you seem to be... to have a personage so close to you in employ.... I salute you and your constant endevours at keeping artistic measures alive and flourishing in these dark times... Huzzah.. I say.... Huzzah! Lady Constance sends her love and appreciation... super lighting, detail in your render... she looks like she was just told... "No my dear, you are not a dragon" she responds... "but... but master... Lean Cow and Suc Cock are Dragons..." Master: "Awe but my Little Rabbit, you were born under the Rabbit just like mikeerson.... YOU WILL NEVER BE A DRAGON!" LOL
