Description
Jeff breathed a sigh of relief. He looked over his shoulder and could see the soldier slamming the rail due of anger. Gerald steered the glider through the rows of houses. Morning was breaking and the bright desert sun threw beams of light through the smog of the city. At this time in the day it was still quite. Just some very few crafts where around.
"And? Do you have any idea what happened?", Gerald asked. He was about the same height as Jeff in the mid thirties. Gerlad belong to the major count of black people her on Prem. Jeff had no idea how everything was working out at the moment, but racism was an issue on this planet and it didn’t make life easier on this rock of dust. Prem once was a mining colony and before the war, when slavery was not forbidden, a lot of black people where brought over here as slaved. No they majored the occupancy on the planet. But still some mining owners where trying to rule the law which always created conflict. Anyhow, Jeff never had an issue with anyone, but he know that the entire racist stuff was an issue for Gerald. That’s why he liked the desert and the life out there, since all this played no role in the middle of nowhere.
The glider steered into the breaking of the day and soon they had reached the outer edge of the city.
