Description


Injured Australian Fur Seals are brought from the wild to the Royal Melbourne Zoo. They are often inured as the result of an altercation with a Great White shark. Those that cannot be fully rehabilitated are allowed to live out their lives in the beautiful new facilities at the zoo. The rest are released back into the wild. Below, an Australian Fur Seal has one last play in one of the wave tanks prior to heading home to the oceans around Phillip Island, Australia.
