Description
The fence keeps people from wandering out on the railroad tracks. There's an elevated walkway that gives access to the beach. The lock appears to be holding two sections of fencing together. I guess you use what you have!
I wouldn't have noticed the lock if it weren't for Andrea. It's fun to be influenced by fellow artists. My horizons have been broadened! :)

Yes I have fallen in to the padlock trap a couple of times myself but the 'key' is not to let it get you down!! Nice shot by the way.
I like the perspective, the fence disappearing off to the right, the family perfectly framed. Nice work.

Fantastic focus on the business end of the lock; really a marvelous composition altogether!
Since I've been hanging out with a bunch of UrbEx people, I can say that this image is quite familiar...for some (the more dubious ones) it's a challenge...they'd find a way to shimmy between the two sections being locked together. And yes, I love the Andrea influence. It's a wonderful variation on a theme and with a bit of UrbEx thrown in to make it edgy. Nice.

Before photography, everything would slip by and pass me. Now I do notice the little things that I wouldn't have before such as the padlock attached to secure the fence. I see the walk way and people. Aloha
