photo taken yesterday, before my dive ;-)
about what happens:
I had just taken a quick photo and took a speedy run to catch up Karel.
my foot got stuck behind a tree root covered with snow.
It was a very hard landing, as if I was launched.
I went completely flat, camera in my hand, which jumped "on" .
He had sand and snow in the lens, but I think he still works.
I too had sand and mud from under the snow in my nose and mouth. ;-)
I must say, I have much more facial pain now, did not sleep because of that.
If I hold still my arm, not use it, i can deal with it.
but the terrible pain in head and mouth, I think the trap worked like a trigger.
also suffered from hyperventilation, have not had it for a very long time.
Well I have a lot of courage.
even though doctors say, the shoulder will not recover to normal again. I don't believe that.
Karel is such a great help.

No matter how much we love our work-sometimes it can cause us pain! If it makes you feel any better: It looks as though you caught the shot at just the right moment because (to me) the goat in front appears as though he is getting ready for a poop! lol FEEL BETTER SOON!

This photo is so funny and really makes me smile. It was definitely worth waiting to capture the right moment but I wish that tree root had minded its own business and not jumped up to trip you while you were rushing to catch up with Karel. I continue to pray for you. Thank you for sharing with us even through the pain.

sorry about your fall.once at the lake walking two dogs and trying to take pictures i slipped on some wet mud on a boat ramp.I did not loose grip on the leashes and managed not to do damage to my camera.myself was a different story your capture is so funny.strange how animals wants to smell others dung
A very humourous capture of these goats and I'm glad you haven't lost your sense of humour. I can guess how you feel today as I took a tumble at our back door recently and hit the concrete with my face, at least I didn't break anything but I couldn't go out the door for a week in case the neighbours thought hubby had beaten me up. lol. I do hope your shoulder heals enough for you to use it again.
