Description
It may not be among my best images, but it definitely was one of my most difficult captures. These birds are small, fast and a whole lot harder to capture in flight than larger birds. I figured some who know the challenges involved would enjoy viewing.

I think my only decent in-flight pic was of a soaring Bald Eagle, so I do appreciate how difficult this is.
bien vu
As someone who can't do birds even when sitting, I really appreciate this too!
Well done! An excellent shot
Stunning capture my friend. God Bless.
looks so beautiful to see him in flight and his colours !!
I can do seagulls but they are nothing like this-very well captured
A very good capture!
Very nice shot in flight. Aloha
Very well done. Thank you. 5+!
Very pretty bird.
How magnificent! So wonderful in detail and I find the white under-wing with the dots and bars exposed thrilling.
My first reaction was - is that a real bird? So colourful and perfectly caught in flight.
I know the challenge... this is a stunning image, John ! :~)
Well done! Yes a real challenge indeed.
Wow, my only in-flight attempts left the bird unidentifiable. Wonderful!
Excellent catch
Delightfully Beautiful,
This is very hard to catch, and you've done quite well at it! Lovely bird too!
