Description
Had to fill in with flash in photoshop in order to give you a peek inside this old yarn market.
This was built early in the 1600's in Dunster, Somerset, UK for the locals to sell their broadcloths and homespun yarns.

Stunning capture my friend. God Bless.
Fascinating. This was the modern day fabric shop of 400 years ago than...fewer merchants, fewer people...there's something to be said for that. Any idea about the use for upstairs?
my eyes are failing me....i thought it said YAM market..lol nice shot my friend
I still can't believe the age of it. I mean I believe you, but it's so old!
Wow, nearing 400 years old! Is there an upper floor?
Excellent shot.
A tribute to English Oak!
The stock or weigh house with weigh beam was first recorded in the mid 16th century when it was let for 26s 8d to the borough bailiff. Charges of ½ d to 3d were charged for weighing yarn although the bailiff was charged with extortion for charging foreigners‘ higher rates. So it would appear that it was lived in by the Bailiff
Lovely view.
Great capture..muted tones, lines angles and textures...plus the added bonus of the historical element.
