realistic scene.I just found the DC3 yesterday.been looking for the C47 version for a render with the WWII glider
Thanks for the comment Richard. That's the beauty of this model...so many variations :)
Very cool vintage looking!
Superb image, with an excellent 'mood' ! I agree with wotan, there is a good vintage feeling, I don't know exactly why, maybe because of the lighting ... Excellent work, anyway.
splendid scene and atmosphere!! wonderful work!
beau travail!!
Great render, very nice lighting. 5*
Wow! this just comes together perfectly, nice early morning or evening light...a complete story in one image...brilliant..
Big applause for the way you've assembled this typical late 1930s scene. In addition to Neil's superb model, the Texaco fuel truck really gets my attention. I am a fan of Walter P. Chrysler's Airflow sedans (1934-1937) and didn't know about a tanker truck with an Airflow design. A little research has brought me to find that there are only a few in existance...probably the best one is in The Ford Museum. This truck was built on a Dodge chassis and the custom built body was done by Gar-Wood (a fancy boat maker of the 1930s). I think these fuek tankers were made at least between 1938 and 1941...not sure of other model years. Here's a link for you if you'd like to check out the Airflow Tanker Click Here
Excellent work on a little pictured scene.
Great scene and amazing truck. Good work on the bump map too.
