Description

Point Leo is an excellent beach for surfing or just doing nothing, and was once known as Bobbanaring to the local Bunurong people prior to European settlement. It's a very secluded place, having no public transport and a town population of less than 500 people. My mate, with whom I went surfing, hates it when I continually stop to photograph everything. He told me not to be bother taking a photo as it looked 'too shiny'! That's what I liked about the place. (The world is full of critics!!!!!!!) Victoria Australia.

Now,this is what I call a beach! Beautiful! Seems to be a great place for camping! I can imagine the tents and the bonfire. Are there any kind of molluscs that could be cooked?. Awesome picture, mate!

Yes we camped just off to the left of the photo! There are heaps of fish around, although I didn’t go fishing this time. I have eaten scallops, abalone and mussels from this area, but I'm sure there is lots more that I don't know about! Below are 3 shots of where we were. Andrew HERE

One of your best beach shots yet! And I agree with you 100%...the shiny part makes the image:) Tell your mate...he's outvoted or present him with a camera. lol.

For me the shine is just a one aspect. What makes this a great shot is the five zones of distinct textures of which we are looking down the length off and being drawn into the scene. There is a distinct focal point to this image and in that sense it is done up as a classic landscape. And it closely follows the rule of thirds, which helps too.
