Description
Hello all you Elder Scrolls fans out there! This is my representation of the Staff Of Chaos.
For those who don't know (or might not remember), this is the object that the first Elder Scrolls game was focused on. This staff was broken into eight pieces and scattered across the realm of Tamriel where the hero of the game had to collect them and reconstruct the staff into a single functioning object again. This story comes from ARENA way back in the mid 1990's (very old game but a really big revolution in the RPG gaming world).
I did some interesting work to try to get reasonable references for this piece but there are very few. I have of course made my own estimates on colors. If you look at the details of the staff weapons in Skyrim (the latest TES incarnation), Bethesda Softworks has added tons more details. I'm quite sure this would look much different today than what we had way back in 1994/5 if Bethesda were to make this for a game now.
Regardless, this was an easy and relatively fun project (and an old one). I dug this up from some really old files and touched it up a little bit.
So, for those of you who are interested, here's my version of an old old old gaming relic.
