Description
My last picture of 2011; this brilliant little strike-fighter should have played a bigger role in WWII, but it remains more or less unknown to the general public, their loss.

What a great way to finish the year, brilliant image, a very rare colour photo effect, perfectly executed... Thanks for your brilliant support during the year, I look forward to more great images in 2012...all the best for a Happy New Year..
impressive i guess this one can let rain hell. happy new year.
Well ... I think it had terminal issues. BUT ... it was a neat looker! Great image.
Wonderful work, Happy New Year and best wishes in 2012,
Ah, yes... the train driver's eye-view of the Whirlwind... this is my favourite of the three posted. Bombing practice perhaps, or perhaps a German photographer with nerves of steel. Curious how similar to the Gloster Meteor it is...
I've always liked the look of the Whirlwind and it's succesor, the Wyvern. very neatly done rendition!
