Description
Today is the 'shortest' day, daylight hours that is, for us in the Northern hemisphere so here you see Stonehenge where, as I post this picture, the Druids and others will be at the monument celebrating.
I took this shot earlier this month from a bus window as we passed by, hence the poor quality.

roll on summer
There is a most surreal feel to this...as I have never seen it before!
I agree with Andrea, eerie! Also no my list - for next time! Clive
Wonderful photo.I wish to see stonehenge in real. Maybe sometimes!
I think even taken from a bus window that the image turned out really good and especially if you zoom in.......... Def a fav with me.......and yep I bet the Druids were there among others... I think it's a great image from that view.............and I posted a new one too hope you drop by and give mine a look see as well Hugs Susan~
Great shot...I like the blur effect in the foreground..adds to the mystery!
Excellent image!
A very draughty celebration ...
This really has to be seen in full size. And I'm impressed by the color, as by those 3 little 'stones'. As if it were the descendants (babies) of the larger stones, the real fathers and mothers, which stand there waiting for them. A great shot, Jeff.
nice , good shot
I wish I could see it in real life. Beautiful Image!
Wow superb shot hon.
with a magical mood !! wonderful !!
Brilliant pic, Jeff.
Fine drive-by...and yes, I agree...the composition lends a aire of mystery. Just read where a couple of professors have studied "foliated rhyolite" (rock chips) from Stonehenge and matched them to a single rock outcropping in southwestern Wales.
Wonderful DOF and atmosphere, great capture! :)
an unusual view of Stonehenge, not embellished, I like it.
nice shot, ya I am so happy because tomorrow the days start turning a little bit longer, not much but at least it is headed in the right direction.
the movement of the ground gives it a magic look here. I read where they think they find the site where these stones was taken from. about 100 miles away. How they got here is a wonder still.
Great capture from a moving bus!!!
OH this is a great shot for a "motionshot" as I call my shots taken from a rolling car :D
There is always something special about Stonehenge, very nice shot Jeff!!
I like the movement.gives a surreal feeling
VERY BEAUTIFUL IT HAS A QUAINT MOOD
Fantastic image
Wonderful and a different look!
It is still a great shot Jeff. Think of how many billions of people that will not ever get that close. Think about being there thousands of years ago.
This is a most beautiful capture of such greatness. :))))) It would be so extra nice to travel and see all of the beauty that is out there. :)))) Most excellent capture my friend. :)))) Thank you for sharing all of the beauty you see. :))))) Carry A Smile In Your Heart :))))))
Coming out of the tunnel. I always look forward to this day!
The drive-by shooting does lend a truly surreal feel to this shot; I like it!
