trying to work out who to target...;) super capture
A one legged seagull!!! Super shot Bill.
I love the way the light limns the edges of the wings. Beautiful!
Such a glorious reminder of summer. Dreamy filterwork.
Pretty shot of these Gulls.
My, a rebate, two in one! This is quite funny. Have you added grain to the photo, or is this an enlagement of a small part of the original? Tara has a really good point about the wings. On the upper bird one can see the extent of the feathers and the extent of the rest of the wing (skin, muscle, bone part). And to think that the feathers can be oriented in different directions both sideways and up-down, allowing for instant change of direction depending on air currents and where the bird wants to fly at a given moment. Fantastic! This makes the sea gull very adept at precision "bombing" an undesireable target (like a predator bird during nesting time). Good job catching them both. Keep it up! :-)
A very cool catch and timing to get this shot.
Beautiful mate! book cover shot, Really well caught in the bargain! Rob
Love those wing feathers--nice work!
The light is stunning!!
Amazing shot!
WOnderful capture of this pair in flight!!!
splendid image
Superb on the wing shot Bill!!!
WOnderful shot of these two gulls. You are good at this, Bill !!!
hopefully these two aren't underaged gulls going across state lines for immoral porposes! Great capture, Bill
A super capture of these high soarers. Great to get two in the same shot.
Much too stunning a photograph for my limited vocabulary to describe, Bill.
That rim lighting on these gulls is just to die for! What an awesome shot, Bill! So how much popcorn did you have to promise these two to get them to pose so nicely for you? :-D
not ony clouds have silver lining... great feel of flight and light!
very lovely
Wonderful lighting! Well done, Bill, Clive
SUPERLATIVE WORK !
I also really love how the light hits these birds, lovely capture!
excellent~
Great composition of this soaring duo!
Very true but hes also last to grab the crumbs on the ground:-)
This is a magical duo...I love the way they stand out and the whole limning effect the edges of their wings have. This is really superb, but as I only know the seagulls from Chicago (and they're inland birds to top it all off!) I'm rather intimidated by a seagull flying over head. Their aim is phenomenal! They're so graceful, however, and when they walk, they have such an impressive, imperious strut!
