Description
Starlings are small to medium-sized passerine birds in the family Sturnidae. Their preferred habitat is fairly open country, and they eat insects and fruit. Several species live around human habitation, and are effectively omnivores.
Picture taken on April 6, 2011 14:13 in Rulles (Belgium), 22 days before my previous upload...note the absence of leaves on the ash tree !

A marvelous photograph of this starling with what appears to be a nice juicy grub.Birds must have to eat a lot to keep warm on those snowy days.
