Description
A prayer wheel is a cylindrical "wheel" on a spindle made from metal, wood, stone, leather or coarse cotton. Traditionally, the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum is written in Sanskrit on the outside of the wheel. According to the Tibetan Buddhist tradition spinning such a wheel will have much the same meritorious effect as orally reciting the prayers. ~ from Wikipedia
Some prayer wheels are of truly epic proportions. Here we see a future monk posing in front of his mantra.

little man ... very large!! Xcellent pic with class colors!
What a beautiful smile. Wonderfully relaxed scene of him enjoying the day. I like the dark shadows on either side, the bright colors, and the man sitting relaxed in the shadows.
