Description
Though one could imagine one of the Mars missions imaging this from orbit. It is from the "Cottonwood Cove" hike and taken less that 2 meters from the surface. An idea of scale, the fin running the top length of the image is all of 10 cm at it's highest(4 inches). Looks good in zoom! Haven't been getting enough time to comment, hope to be catching up this evening.
To the kind souls that leave their mark whether a comment, rating, or save the image as a fav, you are very much appreciated, thank you!!!

I'm beginning to think you crawled around on your hands and knees to get pictures like this. Your photographer's eye is beyond superb, Dana. This would look great enlarged, framed and hanging on a wall.
Holy cow! At first I thought you shot this from the air. Excellent image!

Fantastic view of the surface of Mars. ;D But I think the conspiracy people will have a little problem with the small pieces of dryed wood down there. LOL! Excellent POV and capture! :)
