I must admit to having lived in Phoenix for only a year, it wasn't my cup of tea. Ended up in Tucson for several years which I did enjoy.
The last post was a connector flight back to New England, haven't lived in Arizona since 1999. Got a chuckle out of some of the comments on the urban sprawl that is Phoenix.
Thought I'd share an image of where I live now. This is taken from atop a Ferris Wheel at the rodeo back in July. The chair sides were very high and so it was an over the head blind shot. It does show the many rolling hills and mountains to the south. Left of the image is the high mountains, right of this image is the coast and beaches.

Traveled through both Tuscon and Phoenix and found them to be beautiful cities. One must get shot on sight for daring to litter as it was impeccably clean. Great shots as well--looks like a fun time had by many...
