Description
For the suppressed peoples around the world, especially the women who often suffers most. A lot of humans fight for freedom and basic civil rights in dictaturships or mafia-like ruled countries these months. Some freedoms fighter are wounded but not giving up.
Other places, voices are raised against banks, big corporations and politicians in our own parts of the western world. Are these two things connected? Not necessarly - but our western societies move into a direction of more and more accumulated power and money concentration for just the few, the same also often owning much of the press - and their well paid lobbyists. Same time Big companies get richer and reckless brookers activity throw common hard working people into unemployment...
I'm certainly not for a revolution in our, until relatively recently, all in all, decent responsible democracies - but in the later years greater parts get lesser and lesser influence in the political direction in their own societies. The same accumulation happened in the old roman empire, which was weakned by corruption and lots of ordinary peoples without hope...
Maybe should our western democracies look into themselves, and we should think deeper about who we eventually elect and thereby bring to power?. Are you sure these will remember you or not?...
Remember these words once spolken by Abraham Lincoln "...government of the people, by the people, for the people.." must not be forgotten!
Ok, politics...The idea to this render - not very special and a more average creation as it appears - got into life when I by chance saw an image on the Net. It was a movie poster to "Planet Terror" and it had this speciel character, a former poledancer!
Story, very shortly: A little group fights some zombies, infected by some virus of a sort. The character played by Rose McGowan has lost one leg to the zombies but she fight back with a leg prosthesis which is a powerful automatic gun which solves zombie problems! I haven't yet seen the movie, created by the famous director Robert Rodrigues ("Sin City", "From Dusk to Dawn").
You can chose to see the story - as I can interpreted the lines, I have read - as the few figting back against the infected ("brainwashed") public who don't see the poorer and lost reality they live in. Or you can just see it as a movie...
Have a nice upcoming week end!

Interesting. Interesting Indeed :)
Lol. Works for me. ;)
Great image and text. I hope there's no recoil to that weapon ...
Wow, she is ready for action!!
A few years back it looked like communism had fallen and capitalism had won. Now it looks like for a great number of people capitalism does not work either. I understand the protesters against capitalism but you have to suggest solutions not only complain about things. Trouble is there is no political theory to believe in anymore.
Nice image and statements we go to the polls tomorrow so it will be interesting to see what happens..
Terrific image and interesting words!
wonderful image and character!! (I saw the movie: fantastic!)
Wonderful pose and setting, marvelous composition and concept, loved the title! I saw the movie too!
Fantastic scene and words!
i SAW THIS MOVIE way to long ago... don't remember anything except a gunleg.
one hell of a leg! very cool idea Johnny, brilliant scene.
Well, when this lady kicks, she REALLY kicks! Amazing render, Johnny! The more I look at and analyze the world situation, the more I'm reminded of the way things developed in a recent saga from a 'galaxy far, far away..' Maybe not so far, after all.....
Yeah"RodS"is right about her kick!..What a leg!?!:-)))Render is Fantastic ,but I agree your words about the politics! And in my opinion is;if the worlds people(All of us!)couldn't say "STOP!" to wild capitalism,World turns to a real "hell" in the near future!!...
Wow, love the grindhouse feel to this. Yeah, hard to know what to believe in anymore, so many people with their fingers in the pie and a buck to make.
got to fight back for sure. cool looking image
Great image and sentiments.
The whole 'Dawn Of The Dead' series of movies (forget the di9rector offhand) was a metaphore for brainwashed masses. It was no coincidence that Dawn of the Dead too place in a shopping mall!
but when i see on tv the peolpe for example living in giant appartmentblocks with 40% unemployment and the assholes have nothing better to do than fight each other then i see no chance bro. instead of helping a bit each other, there it starts. i saw people laughing behind their curtains, while watching the neighbour carrying bricks and cement and breaking his back instead of giving maybe a hand or two to help.and then he helps you in another line. i always had people who did the heavy duty jobs for me and in exchange i kept their computers running or wrote letters to administrations for them.so in my world i try to do as in one hand washes the other but sadly with the amount of assholes around i keep more and more to myself.
Fantastic scene ! =)
Interesting scene.
Excellent work.
Thanks for your words, I totally agree. Shame on the banks and on the "agencies" which decide to give a "bad mark" to some countries...Your image is very good and very powerful, well done.
Great image and work.
So nicely done, it's sad but has a good message to it.
Very beautiful image and great words! Politics is just a great disservice to the people!
Fantastic!!! You have done a terrific image with a great philosophy content. Fully agree with you that this political world tries to fool us. Perhaps we can resist - but most people are not able to do this. What can I say - f..ck them all!
